# Governance Mechanisms

### **Decentralized Governance**

AX will empower token holders through the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) model to vote on major platform decisions and the use of community funds, ensuring transparency and fairness in the governance process. Although the motions will at first be controlled by the AX team, as our decentralization efforts advance, the DAO will take over as the main decision makers for the projects.

### **DAO Architecture**

Token stakers can participate in proposals and protocol upgrades, further enhancing the decentralized nature of the platform and ensuring broad community participation.
